Mapesil

Properties:

Mapesil AC is a one-component silicone sealant, available in transparent or a range of 30 colors, based on acetic acid and free from solvents. It is easy to apply on horizontal and vertical surfaces. When exposed to atmospheric moisture, it cures into an elastic material with the following properties:

• Long-lasting durability, retaining high performance and properties for years under various atmospheric, industrial, and temperature conditions, including submersion in water.
• High elasticity.
• Excellent adhesion to glass, ceramics, and anodized aluminum.
• Water- and vapor-resistant.
• Good chemical resistance.
• Deformable at temperatures as low as –40°C and resistant to temperatures up to +180°C.
• Easy to apply and smooth.

Applications:

Mapesil AC is a silicone sealant based on acetic acid, used for sealing joints in glass, ceramics, and anodized aluminum. It is ideal for:

• Filling expansion joints subject to significant movement (up to 20% of the original size).
• Sealing flexible elements in residential, sports, industrial, food, marine, and healthcare construction sectors.
