Stuccoco Grobzug FG 88 ensures excellent shape retention, minimal shrinkage, easy application, and fast setting. Thanks to its quick curing time and mineral aggregates, it is ideal for creating even thicker profile components. Hydrophobic additives allow its use in exterior applications and humid zones. This plaster is free of corrosion-inducing components (e.g., chlorides).

Applications of Stuccoco Grobzug FG 88

Stuccoco Grobzug FG 88 is a fast-setting, coarse-grained plaster used for forming profile cores, such as pilasters, cornices, rustications, and more. It can be applied both on worktables and directly on walls. Additionally, it is suitable for rounding, shaping architectural stone elements, and rusticated façade detailing. The material is designed for both interior and exterior use. It is not recommended for use on insulation systems, where prefabricated elements made from polystyrene or similar materials are more appropriate.

Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be evenly dry, load-bearing, clean, and dust-free. Loose parts, voids, and glue-based paints must be removed. Smooth surfaces should be treated with an adhesion primer, such as multiContact MC 55 W. For overhangs extending beyond the façade, reinforcement must be applied (e.g., galvanized nails or hooks connected with rust-proof wire). For overhangs exceeding 5 cm, appropriate supporting structures must be installed.
