Renovation Plaster

 

Baumit SanovaMonoTrass is a plaster mortar ideal for renovating old buildings. It can be applied both indoors and outdoors. The product is easy to work with and can be applied either manually or with machinery. This is a single-layer renovation plaster that works well on walls with low to moderate moisture levels. In cases of visible salt efflorescence, the plaster can be applied in two layers. SanovaMonoTrass can also serve as a top layer on Baumit’s renovation base coats. The mortar is hydrophobic and vapor-permeable, making it resistant to high humidity and effectively allowing moisture to escape from the walls.

 

Properties:

• Lightweight renovation plaster with porosity designed to store salts.
• Hydrophobic.
• Vapor-permeable.
• Can be finished with a topcoat for painting.

 

Application: SanovaMonoTrass is applied to walls with light to moderate moisture levels and visible salt efflorescence in a single layer, in one or multiple working stages. In cases with heavy salt efflorescence, the plaster should be applied in two layers or used as a finishing layer over Baumit SanierGrundputz SG 68 or Baumit SanierPutz Grob SP 64 G base coats. It is used for creating dry surfaces on plastered walls and facades. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, primarily recommended for conservation projects on historical buildings.

 

Substrate:

• The substrate must be clean, dry, unfrozen, dust-free, free of loose parts, and hydrophilous (capable of absorbing moisture).
• It should be free from salt efflorescence, have appropriate load-bearing capacity, and a temperature above +5°C.
• Any moss, algae, or green growth should be removed using Baumit FungoFluid.
• When applying manually, outdoors, or on substrates with uneven absorption, especially on historical walls that require varying plaster thicknesses, Baumit SanovaPre (SanierVorspritz SV 61) should always be used as a bonding coat.

 

Grain Size:

• Maximum of 1mm

Consumption:

• 10-11 kg/m² for a plaster thickness of 10 mm.
