Mineral Waterproofing Mortar

KOESTER NB 1 Grey is a mineral micro-mortar sealing compound. It contains crystallizing substances that close the pores in the substrate, forming a waterproof coating with a dense structure and minimal porosity. This product is resistant to water, while maintaining high water vapor permeability. KOESTER NB 1 is used for protection against ground moisture, infiltrating water, and water under pressure. It is applied to surfaces where there is no risk of cracking. The seals created with the NB 1 micro-mortar are characterized by high compressive strength, abrasion resistance, and excellent resistance to sulfates and chemical aggression. It also has the PHZ certificate for contact with drinking water. KOESTER NB 1 is easy to apply, allowing for a seamless waterproofing application without joints or connections.

The addition of KOESTER SB Haftemulsion to the mixing water or the use of NB 1 Flex liquid increases the water retention capacity and prevents "burning" of the material under unfavorable weather conditions (high temperatures, low humidity). The addition of the emulsion also improves the material’s plasticity. Thanks to deep crystallization into the substrate, the product offers excellent resistance to water pressure from both the positive and negative sides.

Applications of KOESTER NB 1:

• Sealing against pressing water from both positive and negative sides

• Horizontal and vertical waterproofing of marble, concrete, and cement plaster substrates
• Suitable for use in wet rooms, bathrooms, showers, basements, silos, tanks, elevator shafts, wastewater treatment tanks, drinking water reservoirs, and other applications
• Suitable for use both indoors and outdoors

• Approximately 2.5 - 4.0 kg/m²
