Applications
Baumit MultiContact MC 55 W is used as a base leveling coat, reinforced with fiberglass mesh, on mineral substrates, thermal insulation plasters, resin-based plasters, and insulation boards. It can also be applied as a thin-layer finishing plaster. It complies with WTA 2-4-94 standards for renovating cracked facades.

Application Instructions
- Surface Preparation:
- Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from loose particles, grease, or dust.
- Remove peeling paint or film-forming substances like wax or form oil.
- For highly absorbent substrates, pre-wet or use Baumit MultiPrimer.
- Application:
- Apply 3–5 mm thick using a trowel or machine.
- Embed fiberglass mesh into the fresh layer to reinforce crack-prone areas.
- Wait one day per millimeter of thickness before applying additional layers.
- Finishing:
- Create texture on the fresh surface by felting if desired.
- When used as a topcoat, apply a hydrophobic paint for protection.
Precautions
- Apply at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C.
- Protect from direct sunlight, strong wind, or rapid drying conditions.
- Clean tools with water immediately after use.
