KÖSTER Mautrol 2K – Advanced Injection Fluid

 

KÖSTER Mautrol 2K is an advanced, two-component injection fluid designed for creating horizontal barriers in walls, effectively counteracting capillary rising damp. The product is based on silicates and esters, ensuring low viscosity and excellent performance even with high wall moisture levels of up to 95%.

• Two-Component Formula: Component B enables gelling, allowing effective application in highly damp conditions without prior drying.
• High Efficiency: Works effectively even with 95% wall moisture, compliant with WTA 4-4-04/D guidelines.
• Protection and Strengthening: Restores horizontal barriers, reinforces masonry and concrete substrates, and provides additional protection against aggressive substances.
• Reinforcement Safety: Does not cause corrosion of reinforcements, ensuring structural durability.

Applications:

• Horizontal Insulation: Effectively restores horizontal insulation in concrete, masonry, brick, and natural stone walls.
• Masonry Reinforcement: Also used to strengthen both interior and exterior walls.
• Application Conditions: Ideal for use in highly damp walls but not suitable for leaks or pressurized water.

Technical Data:

• Density: Component A: 1.16 g/cm³, Component B: 1.09 g/cm³, Mixed: 1.15 g/cm³.
• Initial Viscosity: Approximately 30 mPa•s.
• Open Time: 30–60 minutes (depending on temperature).
• Mixing Ratio: By weight: 100 parts A to 9 parts B; By volume: 100 units A to 9.4 units B.

Application Instructions:

1. Wall Preparation: Drill horizontal holes in the lower part of the wall (spaced 10–12 cm apart) or in two staggered rows.
2. Priming: Fill empty joints, apply KÖSTER POLYSIL TG 500, and two layers of KÖSTER NB 1 sealing slurry.
3. Injection: Mix components in a 100:9 ratio, stirring thoroughly. Inject the mixture through packers until the wall is fully saturated. Repeat injection after 45–60 minutes.

Consumption:

• Average consumption: Approximately 0.12 kg/m² per 1 cm wall thickness. Actual consumption depends on substrate absorbency and moisture.

Packaging:

• Set: Component A - 36 kg canister, Component B - 3.5 kg canister.
• Set: Component A - 240 kg barrel, Component B - 22 kg canister.

Storage and Safety:

• Store in a cool place in original, sealed packaging. Protect from frost. Shelf life: at least 24 months.
• Wear protective goggles and gloves. Follow safety and hygiene regulations.
