KÖSTER KB-FIX 5 is a fast-setting cementitious repair mortar manufactured by KÖSTER BAUCHEMIE AG. Specifically designed for quick installation and repair of various building components, it offers exceptional versatility and high performance, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

  • Flexural Strength: > 1.3 N/mm² (2 hours), > 2.5 N/mm² (24 hours), > 4 N/mm² (7 days).
• Waterproof: Resistant to water exposure.
• Weather-Resistant: Suitable for outdoor use.
• Density of Fresh Mortar: Approx. 2.0 kg/l.
• Maximum Grain Size: Approx. 0.4 mm.

KÖSTER KB-FIX 5 is perfect for rapid repairs and filling voids or cracks in plaster and masonry. Common uses include:

• Fixing hooks, dowels, gutter brackets, and downpipes.
• Installing railings, grates, and radiators.
• Sealing pipe penetrations and minor repairs.
• Closing cracks and joints during pressure injection sealing with KÖSTER KB-Pur IN polyurethane resins.
• Filling injection packer holes.

Instructions for Use

1. Surface Preparation:
   Ensure the substrate is clean, solid, and stable. Remove loose or weak plaster or masonry components and moisten the substrate with water.
2. Mixing:
   Combine dry mortar with water at a volumetric ratio of 3:1, mixing until a thick, trowel-ready paste is achieved.
3. Application:
   • For larger repairs, press the mortar firmly with a board or trowel until set.
   • Use lukewarm water for mixing in colder temperatures.
4. Cleaning Tools:
   Clean tools immediately after use with water.

Packaging and Storage

• Packaging: 15 kg bags.
• Storage: Store in a dry location in unopened, original packaging for up to 12 months.
