Reactive Barrier for Immediate Leak Sealing

Description:

Bostik Aquastop is a set of three products designed to prevent water infiltration and dampness in walls or floors, facilitating essential repair or installation work. These products work together seamlessly to provide an effective solution for substrates that remain damp and cannot be fully dried using injection or mechanical methods.

Before applying the system to a wet wall, it is necessary to create a fillet (rounded transition) using BOSTIK BLOCK C583 TERRA LOCK (Sperrmortel) or BOSTIK BLOCK C781 TERRA LOCK XS (Sperrmortel Fein).

The products in the Bostik Aquastop system should be applied in the following order:

  1. BLOCK C901 TERRA SPECIAL – reactive waterproofing slurry
  2. BLOCK C902 TERRA XPRESS – sealing powder
  3. BLOCK C903 TERRA LIQUID – silicate agent
  4. RENO C761 BASE – plaster undercoat
  5. RENO C762 FINISH – renovation plaster

THE SET INCLUDES:

  • BLOCK C901 TERRA SPECIAL: A cement-based mortar with inorganic additives, part of the specialized "AQUASTOPP" waterproofing system. Provides protection against non-pressurized and pressurized water damage. Designed for negative-side application. Resistant to frost and road salt.
  • BLOCK C902 TERRA XPRESS: A cement-based mortar with catalytic action (binds upon contact with water). Forms a durable and waterproof bond within seconds. Once cured, it is resistant to frost, road salt, and weather conditions.
  • BLOCK C903 TERRA LIQUID: A solution based on modified silicate. Solvent-free and environmentally friendly. Features low viscosity and high absorption capacity. Easy to apply, thermally resistant, and reacts with BLOCK C901 TERRA SPECIAL and BLOCK C902 TERRA XPRESS to form the AQUASTOP waterproofing system. Resistant to frost and road salt.

APPLICATION METHOD

  • BLOCK C901 TERRA SPECIAL: After wetting the substrate, apply BLOCK C901 TERRA SPECIAL by thoroughly rubbing it into the surface. The mortar is applied in three layers. It is part of the specialized AQUASTOPP waterproofing system, which also includes BLOCK C902 TERRA XPRESS and BLOCK C903 TERRA LIQUID.
  • BLOCK C902 TERRA XPRESS: Rub the dry BLOCK C902 TERRA XPRESS into the first layer of fresh BLOCK C903 TERRA SPECIAL mortar. Protective gloves must be used during application. After sealing leaks and securing water seepage, apply a waterproof barrier to protect against water penetration through the wall. For this purpose, apply the specialized AQUASTOPP sealing system or BLOCK X701 TERRA 2K FLEX mortar on the negative side.
  • BLOCK C903 TERRA LIQUID: As part of the AQUASTOP waterproofing system, it is applied over the layer of BLOCK C902 TERRA XPRESS. Together, the system provides effective protection against damage from both non-pressurized and pressurized water.

Drying Time:

Approximately 6 hours (at 20°C and 55% relative humidity).

To check, use a finger test: after wetting your finger and sliding it across the coating, it should not pick up any color. The uncured material is brown, changing to black as it dries.
