Bostik FP 312 Fire Retardant Coating

Bostik FP 312 FIRE RETARDANT COATING is a fire-resistant coating designed to protect joints and service penetrations in fire-rated walls and floors. The ablative coating strengthens, seals, and protects mineral wool fibers from fire and smoke penetration, making it ideal for fireproofing buildings with multiple installations. It also helps maintain the acoustic insulation performance of the building.

The product forms a flexible, white coating after drying. Based on a durable polymer system with inert fillers and non-halogenated flame retardants, it includes a preservative to prevent microbiological corrosion. The coating is most efficiently applied to mineral wool fibers by spraying. It improves the surface stability of the boards and reduces the risk of delamination during installation.

Bostik FP 312 can be combined with Bostik FP 310 INTUMESCENT ACOUSTIC ACRYLIC, Bostik FP 320 FIRE BATT, and Bostik FP 340 PIPE WRAP for enhanced fire protection solutions.

Applications of Bostik FP 312

• Prevents the spread of flames and protects mineral fibers from fire penetration.
• Compatible with various substrates: concrete, masonry, steel, wood, plasterboard, glass, plastics, and most non-porous surfaces.
• Reduces the permeability of mineral wool boards and blocks hot gas infiltration.
• Lowers thermal conductivity through installed services.
• Suitable for openings in fire-rated walls of unlimited length and up to 1200 mm in height, floor openings up to 2400 x 1200 mm, and linear joints up to 120 mm wide.
• Can be installed in gypsum plasterboard walls without frames around openings.
