Block X701 TERRA 2K FLEX is a flexible, two-component sealing mortar, previously known as Flex Schlämme K11. This product offers numerous advantages, making it an excellent choice for sealing applications.
Two-Component Sealing Mortars
These are made using Portland cement as a base, combined with additives that improve both waterproofing and flexibility. In 2K mortars, instead of water, a second component— a liquid polymer emulsion— is added. Once mixed, the resulting waterproofing mortar is highly resistant to extreme temperature fluctuations. It retains its flexibility even in freezing conditions, forming a durable, thin protective layer.
This sealing mortar provides strong adhesion to a wide range of building materials, particularly gypsum plaster, anhydrite, cement-based mortars, drywall, gypsum fiberboard, aerated concrete, brick, old ceramic coatings, and even asphalt surfaces.

Instructions for Use:
Add the powder component of X701 TERRA 2K FLEX mortar to the liquid component and mix in a container using a low-speed mixer until a smooth, lump-free mixture is obtained.
X701 TERRA 2K FLEX mortar must not be diluted with water.
After mixing, leave the mortar for about one minute and then mix again.
Apply the mortar using a bench brush, roller, or by spraying.
The sealing slurry should be applied in at least two layers, applied perpendicularly to each other.
Before applying the second layer, ensure the first layer has not dried. If the first layer has dried, lightly moisten it before applying the next layer.
The sealing layer should have a minimum thickness at every point. During the curing process, BLOCK X701 TERRA 2K FLEX should be protected from premature drying.
For at least 24 hours, protect it from rain, strong sunlight, and particularly from frost.
Once the mortar has fully cured, it can be painted with standard paints.
For sealing on the negative side, it is recommended to apply Sanierputz renovation plaster onto the cured waterproofing layer to prevent condensation moisture buildup and potential salt efflorescence.
Drying Time:
The drying time depends on the ambient temperature, relative humidity, and the type of substrate.
Typically, it ranges from 1 to 2 hours (up to a maximum of 6 hours).

What is Waterproofing?
Waterproofing, also known as moisture insulation, involves protecting a structure from the harmful and destructive effects of water. Waterproofing solutions are classified according to the binder (waterproofing products):
- Bitumen and tar-based (an outdated method that is being phased out): These offer high water resistance and use readily available materials, but have poor interlayer adhesion and negatively affect health.
- Synthetic resin-based (modern solutions): These are suitable for indoor, residential conditions but are not effective for waterproofing large water reservoirs, as prolonged exposure to water reduces their effectiveness.
- Mineral-polymer waterproofing products: Unlike the previous types, mineral-polymer waterproofing solutions, also called sealing slurries, do not have these drawbacks. Two-component mineral waterproofing is ideal for waterproofing walls, plinths, water basins, swimming pools, balconies, terraces, and roofs, as well as rooms with high moisture levels, such as bathrooms and laundries.
- Multi-component reactive resin-based products (the latest binders): These products, made from polyurethane or epoxy resins, are characterized by excellent penetration into the substrate, providing high adhesion and complete waterproofing.
