BAUMIT NivoFix

Cement-based mineral adhesive mortar designed for affixing polystyrene and mineral wool boards within Baumit insulation systems.

This styrofoam adhesive is a dry mix ideal for attaching thermal insulation boards. Use it within Baumit systems for optimal results. NivoFix is compatible with mineral wool and effectively allows water vapor to pass through, preventing moisture from deteriorating the insulation. The mortar can be applied both indoors and outdoors, providing an effective solution for creating durable and visually appealing thermal insulation.

Purpose: Water vapor permeable adhesive mortar used for exterior and interior applications. It is suitable for adhering facade thermal insulation boards made of EPS (including graphite) and mineral wool to substrates. It is not suitable for spackling or embedding mesh.

Application: In Baumit insulation systems The wall surface must be even (± 5 mm/m). Larger irregularities should be removed in a separate operation. Irregularities up to 10 mm can be adjusted using the adhesive. Greater irregularities must be corrected by applying a base coat of plaster. Apply to the insulation board as a continuous bead around the edges and at least 3 points in the center of the board. On even substrates, it is possible to apply across the entire surface using a notched trowel. Anchoring of the board can be done at least 24 hours after gluing.

Substrate: The substrate must be dry, unfrozen, dust-free, non-hydrophobic, free of efflorescence, structurally sound, and free of loose particles.
