Product Description:
The IZOPRESS ANCHOR spiral anchors are a reliable and durable solution designed for reinforcing and repairing cracked masonry walls, ensuring safe and effective bonding of structural elements. Made from austenitic stainless steel (1.4301), these anchors feature a spiral twist that allows them to transfer more than twice the stress compared to smooth rods, effectively distributing forces to the mortar into which they are embedded.
Available for purchase at our physical store in Kraków (Adama Vetulaniego 5) or via email order at kontakt@sanier.pl.
Key Features of Spiral Anchors:
- Material: Constructed from high-quality austenitic stainless steel, ensuring resistance to corrosion and long-term durability.
- Spiral Design: The unique spiral twist enables these anchors to transfer significantly higher stresses compared to smooth rods, enhancing their load-bearing capacity.
- Masonry Repair: Perfect for reinforcing and binding cracked brick walls, providing a robust and lasting structural connection.
- Installation: Anchors are embedded into pre-cut grooves in the wall and bonded with a high-strength adhesive mortar, ensuring a stable and durable reinforcement.
- Applications: Ideal for both residential and commercial structures where cracked walls need reinforcement or stabilization.
Benefits:
- Corrosion Resistance: Stainless steel construction ensures durability even in harsh environmental conditions.
- Enhanced Structural Integrity: Effectively stabilizes and strengthens masonry walls by securely binding cracked sections.
- High Load Capacity: The spiral design facilitates efficient force distribution, making it suitable for demanding applications.
- Ease of Installation: Simple embedding into mortar-filled grooves provides a straightforward and reliable reinforcement solution.
Technical Details:
- Material Type: Austenitic stainless steel (1.4301)
- Application Method: Installed into cut grooves and bonded with specialized mortar
- Usage: Suitable for masonry repair, including cracked brick walls
Application of Spiral Anchors for Masonry Reinforcement
Purpose:
The anchor is designed for connecting and reinforcing cracked brick walls. It is installed in grooves cut into the wall or in excavated mortar joints, ensuring a durable and permanent bond.
Features:
- Material: Stainless steel, corrosion-resistant.
- Availability: Rolls of 10 meters, coil diameter 70 cm.
- Groove Width: The recommended groove width should be at least 4 mm larger than the anchor diameter.
Technical Specifications:
- Yield Strength: High yield at 0.2% strain for 900 N/mm².
- Tensile Forces Transferred by Anchors:
- Diameter 6 mm: 1 anchor - 8.39 kN; 2 anchors - 16.00 kN
- Diameter 8 mm: 1 anchor - 11.06 kN; 2 anchors - 17.65 kN
- Diameter 9 mm: 1 anchor - 11.50 kN
Installation Technology:
The anchor is used to connect two parts of a wall separated by a crack. It is installed perpendicular to the crack and transfers tensile forces. After the anchors are installed, the crack should be filled with cement grout using an injection method.
Groove Preparation:
- Size: Grooves must be at least 4 mm wider than the anchor diameter.
- Depth:
- For brick walls: Remove mortar to a depth of 55 mm and the appropriate width.
- For stone walls or vaulted masonry: Cut grooves with a grinder or wall chaser to a depth of 55 mm.
- Cleaning: Thoroughly vacuum the grooves and moisten them with water before applying the adhesive.
Anchor Placement:
- Fill half the depth of the groove with adhesive mortar.
- Press the prepared anchor segment into the fresh mortar.
- Fill the remaining groove depth with mortar until it is flush with the wall surface.
- Apply the mortar using a trowel, narrow pointing tool, or EASY manual pump.
Post-Installation Care:
- Keep the bonded areas moist with water for at least two days.
- Protect external walls from direct sunlight during curing.
