Abhesion – What Does It Mean?

Abhesion refers to the property of a surface that repels or prevents the adhesion of a layer applied to it, such as paint or mortar. It is also a characteristic of certain materials that allows them to be used as anti-adhesive agents.

Anti-adhesive substances are commonly used in casting molds for gypsum or concrete to facilitate the easy removal of the mold from the cast.
