Hydrostop offers a comprehensive system for securing structures using mineral and crystallizing materials. These materials boast superior sealing properties and ease of application, enabling a reduced technological regime on construction sites. With fewer, more versatile products, they can be used even under adverse weather conditions.
All Hydrostop products are fully certified in Poland, with documentation confirming their suitability for construction use and resistance to aggressive environments.
1. Protecting the Structure from Aggressive Environments
1.1. Securing External and Internal Concrete Surfaces and Tank Interiors
This applies to tanks for both potable water and domestic wastewater.
Recommended Material: Hydrostop Professional Mix 209
Hydrostop mix 209
Hydrostop Professional Mix is the most versatile product for protecting reinforced concrete structures. It can be applied to both new and old concrete surfaces as a final layer following reprofiling work. It provides heavy-duty waterproofing to protect concrete and reinforced concrete structures from water and aggressive environmental factors (e.g., XA2 aggressive groundwater, domestic wastewater, or slurry).
Unlike bituminous or bentonite layers, the waterproofing created with Hydrostop Professional Mix becomes part of the concrete structure itself. The product induces additional crystallization within the concrete, sealing micro-cracks, capillaries, and shrinkage cracks, and waterproofing up to 10 cm deep into the structure. Once crystallized, the waterproofing becomes virtually indestructible, unlike typical coating-based solutions.
This product is also certified for direct contact with potable water by the Polish Institute of Hygiene (PZH).
Application Process
- Surface Preparation: Clean the surface with a strong stream of water (preferably using a pressure washer). Wait approximately 15 minutes for excess water to run off.
- Application: Apply the product to the moist surface at a rate of 1.6 kg/m² (to achieve heavy-duty waterproofing). Use a wide brush or a painting/plastering sprayer.
- Curing: Maintain the treated area in a moist environment, similar to concrete curing. In outdoor applications, high humidity or rain can naturally facilitate this process.
Key Features
- Deep Penetration: Reaches 5 to 10 cm into the concrete structure.
- Crack Sealing: Seals non-moving cracks up to 0.5 mm wide.
- Strong Adhesion: Excellent bonding to concrete surfaces.
- Waterproofing Capacity: Withstands a minimum of 60 m water column pressure.
- Efficient Application: Requires only one or two coats.
- Quick Curing: Fast-setting properties.
- Moisture Compatibility: Can be applied to wet concrete and under water pressure.
- Longevity: Unlimited lifespan of the waterproofing layer.
- Self-Healing: Contact with water renews the sealing properties.
- Enhanced Durability: Triples the frost resistance of concrete (F50).
- UV Resistance: Completely UV-proof.
- Chemical Resistance: Resistant to XA2-class aggressive water.
- Interior Waterproofing: Can also be applied to underground structures from the inside.
- Vapor Permeability: Allows the structure to breathe.
- Carbonation Resistance: Reduces carbonation.
- Structural Compatibility: Matches the structural properties of concrete.
- Eco-Friendly: Non-toxic and safe for the environment.
1.2. Protecting the Underside of Base Slabs in New Tanks
Hydrostop Mix 203
Hydrostop-Mix is designed to waterproof concrete structures exposed to water pressure and to isolate them from XA2-level aggressive environments. The sealing process involves sprinkling a thin layer of the product through rebar using a sieve directly before pouring concrete. Unlike bituminous materials, this product is resistant to atmospheric conditions. The sprinkling can be performed in sub-zero temperatures and during light rainfall, significantly accelerating construction schedules by making the process independent of weather conditions. Additionally, it creates a far more effective seal than bituminous or bentonite materials, as it is impervious to punctures or damage.
The product penetrates the underside of slabs or reinforced foundations and induces crystallization within the concrete, similar to Professional Mix 209. It is primarily used to seal the undersides of foundation slabs, footings, and reinforced floors.
Product Features
- Deep Penetration: Penetrates at least 5 cm into the concrete.
- Waterproofing: Ensures watertightness equivalent to at least 50 meters of water pressure.
- Self-Healing Ability: Restores sealing capacity in the presence of water.
- Easy Application: Simplifies sealing the undersides of concrete slabs.
- Durability: Provides unlimited longevity of the seal.
- Chemical Resistance: Resistant to XA2-level aggressive waters.
- Concrete Compatibility: Integrates seamlessly with concrete structures.
- Internal Sealing: Suitable for waterproofing underground structures from the inside.
- Crack Sealing: Seals non-moving cracks up to 0.5 mm in foundation slabs.
- Eco-Friendly: Safe for health and the environment.
2. Repairing Concrete Surfaces in Existing Structures
Hydrostop also offers PCC materials for reprofiling reinforced concrete structures. Once reprofiling is complete, the final protective layer is applied using Professional Mix 209.
2.1. Preventing Steel and Concrete Corrosion
After removing weak or corroded layers of concrete, the surface must be saturated with a corrosion-inhibiting product to protect both reinforcement and concrete.

Hydrostop Passivating Agent is a high-performance corrosion-resistant material designed to protect steel reinforcement in conjunction with other Hydrostop products. It is particularly useful for saturating concrete surfaces where the concrete cover over the reinforcement bars is insufficient. This product is applicable in residential, industrial, and public utility construction projects and can be used both internally and externally. Hydrostop Passivating Agent is non-flammable.
Additionally, it can be utilized as a mixing liquid for Hydrostop repair mortars, enhancing their curing process.
Product Features
- Strong Anti-Corrosion Properties: Effectively protects steel reinforcement from corrosion.
- Penetrative Action: Seepage and diffusion enable deep concrete penetration.
- Multipurpose Use: Ideal as a mixing liquid for repair mortars.
- Accelerated Curing: Speeds up the curing process of Hydrostop-Reper mortars.
- Durable Protection: Ensures long-lasting passivation.
- Concrete Compatibility: Fully compatible with concrete structures.
2.2. Concrete Structure Reprofiling
Depending on the thickness of the layer that needs replenishment, Hydrostop offers two types of mortars for reprofiling:
