Universal Deep-Penetrating Primer for Enhanced Adhesion

Application:

Ceresit CT 17 is a primer designed for walls, floors, and ceilings, both indoors and outdoors, before applying ceramic tiles, floor screeds, adhesives, paints, wallpapers, or thermal insulation boards. Free of solvents, CT 17 penetrates the substrate, binds aggregate grains, and reduces absorbency, preventing rapid drying of adhesives, screeds, and paints. It’s ideal for gypsum, anhydrite, aerated concrete, chipboards, and unprimed plasterboards. While it strengthens surfaces, it doesn’t alter the substrate’s structural strength.

Particularly recommended for porous substrates, it helps improve consistency and performance of subsequent layers. It leaves a yellow tint on primed surfaces for better visibility. For thin-layer renders, use Ceresit CT 16 or CT 15 as a priming coat.

Consumption:

• 0.1–0.5 l/m² depending on substrate smoothness and absorbency.
