2. Where and How to Use HYDROSTOP Materials?
lipiec 14, 2022What is HYDROSTOP?
Are you considering waterproofing but unsure which materials to choose? Together with Hydrostop expert Marek Mularczyk, we have prepared a short series dedicated to waterproofing.
In the upcoming videos, Marek will not only explain where and why waterproofing should be done but also discuss soil testing, common mistakes in analysis, design errors, poorly executed waterproofing, and waterproof concrete. You will also receive guidance on how to select the right specialist and materials.
What are HYDROSTOP materials? How and where to use them?
HYDROSTOP waterproofing solutions are mineral-based, penetrating, and crystallizing. This means it's time to move away from the traditional concept of waterproofing as a thick bituminous coating applied to walls. Instead, we should consider waterproofing as a cement-based slurry that, when applied to the surface, releases crystallizers into the concrete structure. These crystallizers penetrate the material, sealing micro-cracks and capillaries, ultimately making the structure itself the waterproofing layer.
Where to Use HYDROSTOP?
HYDROSTOP is ideal for any environment where concrete or reinforced concrete structures are exposed to moisture or aggressive conditions. The product is particularly effective in:
- Underground garages
- Drinking water tanks
- Wastewater treatment plants
- Manure storage tanks
